This awesome concert tee is a souvenir from Van Halen's 1984 World Tour. 1984 was the name of the group's most recent release, and it was the final studio album to feature their original lead singer, David Lee Roth. Roth departed from the band the following year, and pursued a solo career while Van Halen performed with a new vocalist, Sammy Hagar. Despite this album essentially preceding the end of an era for the group, the record contained some of Van Halen's most beloved hits, including "Jump", "Panama", and "Hot for Teacher".
1984 reached the number two spot on the Billboard 200, and it was their second release to achieve Diamond certification, the first being their debut album from 1978. To help promote 1984's release, Van Halen held a contest in conjunction with MTV. Fans mailed over a million postcards into MTV in hopes of winning a "Lost Weekend" with Van Halen. The winner was flown out to Detroit with his best friend, to hang out with the band for one weekend during the tour.
Fits like a modern unisex adult small. Sleeves are faded and there are some spots on the front, see pics.
