This sweet double-sided tee is for the death metal band Obituary, who were first formed in Florida in 1984. This shirt celebrates the group's 1997 album, Back from the Dead, which was their final release before their six year long breakup.
In 1992, the band released their first album to breach the US and UK charts, The End Complete. This album also spawned the group's first ever music video, which was made for the title track, and it received considerable airplay on MTV's Headbanger's Ball. Their popularity grew as they toured to promote the album, and they eventually graduated from playing small clubs to performing in theaters and arenas.
Back from the Dead wound up being the band's first album to be produced by someone other than their long time contributor, Scott Burns. Some copies of the record included an additional CD-ROM of content that included music videos, live footage, and some animation. By that point however, the band was exhausted from their extensive touring, which is what lead to their eventual breakup. They reunited in 2003, and have continued to record and perform together ever since.
