This cool tee commemorates the solar eclipse that took place on July 11th in the year 1991. On that day, a few areas in North and South America were able to view the eclipse in totality. One region that was treated to this incredible sight, was the island state of Hawaii, where witnesses saw more than four minutes of totality. This vintage tee was made by the Hawaiian t-shirt brand Crazy Shirts, which was started in the 1960s by Rick Ralston. For years, Crazy Shirts has made an effort to create tees that specifically celebrate Hawaii and its natives. This particular tee was commissioned from them by another Hawaiian icon, the local daily newspaper The Honolulu Advertiser.
Fits like a modern unisex adult oversized large. This shirt has some fading, see pics.
