This sweet shirt commemorates the 1978 edition of the AFM Six-Hour, an annual endurance race presented by the American Federation of Motorcyclists. The event helped boost superbike racing in America, and it was held each year at the Ontario Motor Speedway in California, before the track was closed in 1980.
The 1978 event was a plagued with day-long rain, a rare occurrence for Southern California, that definitely discouraged some of the 101 entrants. In the end it was Reg Pridmore who won the race, just two years after having won the inaugural AMA Superbike Championship. With the help of mechanics Keith Code and Pierre des Roches, Pridmore won while riding a Vetter Kawasaki KZ1000.
Fits like a modern unisex adult large. There is a small hole on the left side when wearing, see pics.
