This amazing vintage punk rock shirt is from a performance by the English punk band Nine Nine Nine in Philadelphia, PA. Their appearance was a back-to-back Friday-Saturday show which took place in March of 1984 at the legendary punk scene venue the Hot Club located on 21st and South Street. The 999 lineup included Nick Cash on vocals and guitar, Guy Days on lead guitar, Jon Watson on bass guitar and Pablo LaBrittain on drums. The band had just released their album 13th Floor Madness in November of 1983, and Concrete in April of 1981, both under the Albion Label. It's very likely that this performance included the singles "13th Floor Madness", "Nightshift" and "Arabesque" off of 13th Floor Madness. We were contacted by the artist of the flyer who told us he made this design in 1979.
The band was formed in 1976 and has continued to play into the 2000s, releasing fourteen singles and twelve studio albums between 1978 and 2007. This makes them one of the longest-lived bands of the punk era.
