This cool raglan shirt commemorates a concert tour for the English new wave musician Adam Ant. The tour took place in 1984 and was launched to promote Ant's second solo album Strip. This was the follow up to the artist's successful solo debut Friend or Foe, which introduced him to the American market. Prior to that, the singer had garnered a growing following in the UK with his band Adam and the Ants.
Although Strip didn't quite reach the same level of success as its predecessor, it still produced the top ten single "Puss'n Boots", which featured Phil Collins on the drums. During this time Ant also chose to move to Hollywood to begin pursuing a career in acting. Just a few years after the release of Strip, he appeared in his first major film role, a horror movie starring Pierce Brosnan called Nomads. In the movie, Ant played a demonic trickster spirit alongside fellow new wave artist, Josie Cotton.
Fits like a modern unisex adult large. There are some holes and runs throughout, see pics.
