This brightly colored tee promotes the first film in the hilarious Austin Powers trilogy, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. The back of the tee includes a tag line that reads, "Frozen in the 60s... thawing spring '97 baby!" Austin Powers was a comedic spoof of 60s pop culture and British spy films, that was written by and starred former Saturday Night Live cast member Mike Myers. Austin Powers was Myers' first project following the end of his run as an SNL regular, and the movie was a critical and commercial success that has since been lauded as one of the best comedies of the decade.

In the movie, Myers portrays a hapless British spy that was cryogenically frozen in the 1960s. After defrosting in the 1990s, Powers must go to-toe-to with his old nemesis, Dr. Evil, who is also portrayed by Myers in a hilarious parody of classic James Bond villains, particularly Ernst Stavro Blofeld.
