This awesome v-neck jersey reps the iconic rapper Snoop Dogg, and the shirt dates back to the 90s when Snoop's career was just beginning to blossom. Snoop Dogg was first featured on Dr. Dre's debut solo single and his debut album The Chronic in 1992. Dr. Dre then helped to produce Snoop's own debut album, Doggystyle, which was released by Death Row Records the following year. The record was an instant success, debuting at the top of the Billboard 200 and selling 800,000 copies in just its first week.
This shirt features the phrase "The Doggfather", which essentially became the title of Snoop's follow up release in 1996. This second album was certified double-platinum by the next year, and it was also preceded by the popular single "Snoop's Upside Ya Head", which featured the former lead singer of the Gap Band, Charlie Wilson.
Since then, Snoop Dogg has continued to be a hip hop icon, with 17 Grammy nominations under his belt as well as an American Music Award and a Primetime Emmy for his Super Bowl half time performance alongside Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and 50 Cent.
Fits like a modern unisex adult XXXL or 3XL. There is some discoloration on the left sleeve when wearing, see pics.
