This fun shirt is a commemoration of the 1996 Summer Atlanta Olympic Games and their mascot "Whatizit." It was the first computer generated mascot in Olympic history as well as the first non-nationally significant human or animal mascot. The mascot was first introduced at the ending ceremony of the 1992 Summer Barcelona Olympics. In 1995 the mascot appeared in a TV special to promote the character and to create a back story in "Izzy's Quest for Olympic Gold." The special was lost media until 2020 when a tape of it was posted to Youtube. The character was also present in a video game, titled Izzy's Quest For the Olympic Rings, which was released for Genesis platforms and the Super NES.
