This shirt features the adorable Morris the Cat. This orange tabby cat was the lovable mascot for 9Lives brand cat food, and he made his first appearance in 1968. Morris appeared in a number of commercial advertisements for the brand over the years, and the first feline to portray Morris was discovered at the Hindsdale Humane Society in Chicago. All of the cats to subsequently portray Morris have also been rescues, and the character of Morris has also been used to promote responsible pet ownership. In commercials, Morris was voiced by John Erwin, a voice actor also known for voicing He-Man in the 1980s cartoon series.
