This awesome double-sided concert tee is a keepsake from The Madhouse Rock Tour, a concert tour in 1979 from the Godfather of Shock Rock himself, Alice Cooper. Alice Cooper emerged on the music scene in the mid 60s, and practically right from the start of the his career, the musician established himself as a charismatic, albeit unconventional performer. Cooper eventually became known for his elaborate stage shows, and he took inspiration from horror movies and vaudeville to create a unique theatrical rock and roll experience for his audiences. The Madhouse Rock Tour was just one of the many legendary shows to be crafted by the singer.
Alice Cooper spent the first half of the 70s struggling with a growing alcohol addiction, and during his 1977 tour for the album Lace and Whiskey, it became obvious that he needed serious help. Cooper admitted himself to a sanitarium for treatment, and his time in the facility became the inspiration behind his following album From the Inside. This concept album was semi-biographical, and it featured the power ballad "How You Gonna See Me Now", which made it to the No. 12 spot on the Billboard Hot 100.
The album's subsequent Madhouse Rock Tour was set inside an insane asylum. Performances featured a massive movie screen which the live performers would interact with, and Cooper incorporated typical asylum imagery like an electro-shock chair and even appeared dressed in a straitjacket. The show also featured a recorded introduction from the legendary horror icon Vincent Price.
Fits like a modern unisex adult extra small.
