This rad concert tee celebrates the English musician Elvis Costello and his 1994 tour promoting the album Brutal Youth. This was Costello's first album in nearly a decade to feature his former backing band, The Attractions. Costello and the Attractions went their separate ways after the release of the 1986 album, Blood & Chocolate. Costello then chose to spend the remainder of the 80s and the early 90s recording and performing as a solo artist.
Brutal Youth was a commercial success that made it to the number two spot on the UK charts. It featured the singles "Sulky Girl", "You Tripped at Every Step", "London's Brilliant Parade", and "13 Steps Lead Down", the last of which made it into the top ten of the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks. The year following the release of Brutal Youth, Costello came out with Kojak Variety, an album full of cover songs, including tracks originally recorded by Screaming Jay Hawkins, Bob Dylan, Randy Newman, Bruce Springsteen, and Van Morrison.
