This amazing tee promotes the infamous rematch between professional boxers Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson, which was staged at the MGM Grand Arena in las Vegas in 1997. The match was preceded by the pair's original face off, several months earlier, in which Holyfield earned the WBA heavyweight championship title.
Many people remember Holyfield Vs Tyson II as one of the most shocking fights in the history of the World Boxing Association. Audiences were stunned when they saw Tyson bite Holyfield's right ear, and tear off a one inch piece of cartilage, which he spat onto the ring apron. The match came to a halt, as referee Mills Lane tried to decide how to proceed. The match was cleared to continue, but during a different clinch Tyson went for Holyfield's other ear, and when this attack was discovered the match was ended, and Tyson was disqualified. Tyson 's behavior during and after the match led to his boxing license being temporarily revoked, and the match went down in infamy.
Years later, the boxers became close friends and even capitalized off the event in 2022 by teaming up to create ear-shaped, cannabis sweets which they jokingly called "Holy Ears".
