The song "Cult of Personality" is often considered to be the band's most iconic hit, and it earned them a Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance in 1990. The band was also named Best New Artist at the 1989 MTV Video Music Awards. After the release of Vivid, the group was invited to tour along with Guns N' Roses as an opening act for the Rolling Stones on their Steel Wheels/Urban Jungle Tour.
