This awesome tee features an iron on graphic that celebrates the earliest, and one of the most influential, anime series ever created, Osamu Tezuka's Astro Boy. The anime was based on a manga serialized in the Kobunsha magazine Shonen. Tezuka then decided to animate the series after he left Toei Animation in the early 60s. The artist established the competing studio, Mushi Production, and they wound up pioneering television animation in Japan.

Astro Boy centers around the adventures of its titular hero, a young male robot that lives in a world where robots and humans co-exist. Astro Boy is considered one of the greatest anime series ever conceived and it easily went on to become Tezuka's most famous work. The manga's original 1963 adaptation became a hit in both the US and Japan, and it was one of the first cartoons to embrace mass merchandising, with fans able to buy Astro boy action figures, clothing, stamps, and trading cards.

Fits like a modern unisex adult medium. There is a repair on the front and near the collar, and a hole on the front, see pics.
