This incredible tee promotes Tim Burton's 1989 live action Batman film, which starred Michael Keaton as the titular caped crusader. This shirt shows off an awesome portrait of Keaton wearing the cape and the cowl, and it also displays the specs of the film's iconic Batmobile. The final body of the famous vehicle was sculpted by Keith Short, and it was built over a Chevy Impala. The car was later purchased by the stand up comedian, Jeff Dunham, who had it modified to make it street legal.
Burton's Batman became a critical and commercial hit that forever changed DC Comics. The success of the movie directly led to the development of Batman: The Animated Series, which in turn sparked the DC Animated Universe. The movie also helped establish the genre of modern day superhero films, and while Keaton was praised highly for his portrayal of Batman, many critics and fans agreed that the true star of the show was Jack Nicholson. Nicholson's portrayal of the Joker earned the actor a Golden Globe nomination, and he's since cited it as one of his favorite roles.
