This sweet vintage kid's tee features a graphic from one of the most iconic collectibles of the 1980s, Garbage Pail Kids. Garbage Pail Kids were a series of sticker trading cards released by the Topps Company in 1985. Topps was already famous for being the leading producer of American football, baseball, and basketball cards, as well as the producer of the beloved Bazooka brand bubble gum, which featured the Bazooka Joe comics.

Topps created the Garbage Pail series with the help of famous underground comix cartoonist Art Spiegelman. The artwork that would later inspire Garbage Pail Kids, was originally an unreleased drawing from another Topps sticker series that Spiegelman worked on, Wacky Packages. Speigelman became the art director for the project alongside another underground cartoonist Mark Newgarden.

This tee showcases Rob Slob from the original 1985 run of the stickers, which were drawn by John Pound. You can see by the artwork that the grotesque Garbage Pail Kids were intended to be a lowbrow parody Cabbage Patch Kids.

Fits like a modern unisex over-sized youth medium
