This vintage college football tee celebrates the Penn State Nittany Lions, and it celebrates their National Championship title that they earned during the 1982 NCAA football season. That year, the Nittany Lions entered into the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans ranked at No. 2 with an impressive 10-1 record. However, they were facing the undefeated Georgia Bulldogs, who were ranked at No. 1.

It was a tense game as the Bulldogs opened the second half with a touchdown that brought the score to 20-17, with the Nittany Lions only three points ahead. The Lions managed to hold their own for the remainder of the game, however. First they scored thanks to a 47-yard play action touchdown pass from quarterback Todd Blackledge. Then after the Bulldogs answered this with their own touchdown play, they managed to run out the clock and secure their victory with a final score of 27- 23.
