This sweet t-shirt comes from Foghat's 1980 World Tour. That same year Rod Price left the band after being tired of their constant touring. The band auditioned many guitarists before finally settling on Erik Cartwright as his replacement. The band also released their ninth studio album that year titled Tight Shoes. The album was released by Bearsville Records and included the singles "Stranger in My Hometown" and "Be My Woman". It was the last album Price appeared on until his return in 1994 on the album Return of the Boogie Men.
Printed on the back of the shirt is the name of a local business called Midwest Sound Exchange. Their logo also appears on the sleeve.
This shirt fits like a modern unisex adult small. It is unworn, deadstock from 1980.
This item is from the estate of Craig MacGregor, the bassist for the band Foghat in the 1970s, 80s, and again in the 2000’s. The item was owned by Craig, a collector of t-shirts, and stored for some time in a basement before it came into our possession. As a result there may be some lingering basement odor. All items are authentic pieces of rock and roll history and in many cases are one-of-a-kind. Further authentication and chain-of-custody can be provided upon request.
