This awesome tee bears the logo for the 1984 supernatural comedy film, Ghostbusters. This beloved movie was written by two of its stars, Harold Ramis and Saturday Night Live alumni, Dan Aykroyd. The movie's cast also featured Bill Murray, Sigourney Weaver, Rick Moranis, and Ernie Hudson. Aykroyd was originally inspired by his own fascination with spirits and spectors, and he began working on a project that would star him and his good friend John  Belushi. However, Belushi passed away before the movie could be brought to fruition, and Ramis was asked to help rewrite the script after the original concept was deemed too financially impractical.

Despite rewrites, Aykroyd ensured Belushi's spirit was still present in the film, quite literally, as the character of Slimer was intended as a humorous homage to the late comedian. This was what helped inspire special effects artist, Steve Johnson to complete the sculpt of the character. After months of frustrating executive interference, Johnson completed the sculpt in a single night. Accounts say the artist took three grams of cocaine and was visited by the ghost of Belushi himself, who gave him the encouragement Johnson needed to craft one of the film's most iconic creations.
