This popular ale was first produced after prohibition was repealed in 1933, and it used an imported yeast from England. This shirt depicts a twelve horse hitch, in honor of the draft horse team that was used to promote the beer. The Genesee team was believed to be the only twelve-horse hitch in the world, and it was composed of several red roan Belgians.
