This awesome sweatshirt is a souvenir from Universal Studios for their live action performance attraction, Star Trek Adventure. The attraction first opened in Universal Studios Hollywood in 1988, and invited guests to participate in a short performance as characters in an original Star Trek story. The experience was recorded and inter-cut with stock footage from the first three Star Trek films. Audiences could then watch their performances and even purchase a VHS copy as a souvenir to take home.

The immersive experience gave fans the unique chance to step into the world of the beloved franchise, and a version of the attraction was later introduced at Universal Orlando in 1991. Selected audience members were cast in various roles that ranged from Starfleet officers to an enemy Klingon captain and his pet reptilian dog.
