In particular the shirt highlights Fort Nelson which covers mile 301 to 308 of the highway. The anniversary garnered a number of celebratory activities throughout 1992 including snowmobile treks, winter carnivals, mule and horse convoys, re-enactments, and stage shows commemorating the history of the highway's use and conception.
