This vintage college jersey is for the Iowa Hawkeyes of the University of Iowa in Iowa City. The school hosts 24 varsity teams that play NCAA Division I sports for the Big Ten Conference. Over the years they have managed to win national championships in men's gymnastics, football, field hockey, rifle, and women's track and field, but the school is best known for their success in wrestling. They have 37 team Big Ten championships and 24 team national championships for the sport. Their mascot is Herky the Hawk, who made his first live appearance at a football game in 1959.
