Tom Osborne was the head coach of the Cornhuskers football team from 1973 to 1997. The season began with excitement and suspense following the 11-0, 1993 season, in which they had narrowly lost the championship at the Orange Bowl to Florida State. With all the determination the team needed they put up a spectacular performance at the Orange Bowl of  '94, scoring 15 unanswered points in the 4th quarter and securing the national title they felt robbed of the year before.
