This awesome souvenir t-shirt is from Black's Beach, a secluded section of beach in the community of La Jolla in San Diego, California. The area is named for the Black Family, who used to own a horse ranch overlooking the beach. While Black's is a choice spot to catch some sun or even some of the most powerful surf breaks in Southern California, the beach's main draw is its clothing optional policy.
A portion of the beach is owned by the California Department of Parks and Recreation while the other portion is owned by the city of San Diego. Only the part of the beach owned by the state park, Torrey Pines State Beach allows for nudity. Black's Beach's notoriety among nudists and curious tourists dates back to the 1970s, the same decade this shirt was made. It was the first public nude beach to ever open in the United States, and for several years it was the only one in the country.
Fits like a modern unisex adult medium. Spot on the back and a repair on the bottom left when wearing, see pics.
