This colorful cropped sweatshirt celebrates the fictional band, Billy & the Boingers. This musical group consists of characters from Berkely Breathed's beloved comic strip Bloom County, specifically Hodge Podge, Opus the Penguin and Bill the Cat, who serves as the band's eponymous frontman.

While Bill the Cat and Opus were both originally rather minor characters, they eventually became two of the strip's breakout stars. Opus was event granted his own self-titled Sunday strip, and the pair both appeared in the children's book A Wish for Wings That Worked.
