This cool t-shirt was made to promote the 2000 science fiction film Hollow Man, which was inspired by the classic horror tale, The Invisible Man by H.G. Wells. Just like the classic story, the movie involves a brilliant scientist who proceeds to go mad after he's rendered invisible. The movie starred Elisabeth Shue, Josh Brolin, and Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Caine, the scientist who grows steadily more unhinged following the experiment.

While the plot left much to be desired, audiences and critics were both highly impressed by the stunning visual effects used to make Bacon appear invisible. Scenes involving Caine after the experiment had to be shot twice, once with actors, and once without, so that the background behind Bacon could be composited in during post-production. For scenes in which Caine is partially seen, outlined in elements like smoke or water, Bacon had to don a latex body suit, as well as contact lenses, and a dental plate so that the visual effects team could later remove him from the footage and replace him with a digital clone.
