This double-sided pocket tee commemorates a production from the 70s, of the classic musical Hello, Dolly! which was staged at Sebastian's at the Grand Hotel. The Grand Hotel was located in Anaheim, California, and while the establishment's proximity to Disneyland made it popular among vacationing families, it's not to be confused with Disney's Grand Californian Hotel, which opened in 2001. Sebastian's actually owned two dinner playhouses in California during the 1970s, Sebastian's West and the one referenced here.
Musical theater fans had their interest in Hello, Dolly! reinvigorated during the 1970s thanks to a Broadway revival of the show. The first Broadway revival began its run in 1975 and starred Pearl Bailey in the titular role. A second revival was staged in 1978, which was followed by a West End revival the following year. Both of these productions saw Carol Channing, the actress who originated the part of Dolly Gallagher Levi, reprise the role.
