This awesome tee is from the Funky Butt at Congo Square, and it features a sweet graphic drawn by the Louisiana-born cartoonist Bunny Matthews. The Funky Butt was a New Orleans jazz club that used to sit along Rampart Street. The joint was named for a historic music hall that used to be frequented by jazz pioneer, Buddy Bolden.
Sadly the Funky Butt closed after hurricane Katrina, but before that it was considered a top notch spot for a night of good drinks and even better music. Patrons who remember it, miss Funky Butt's in-house drinks that included concoctions like "Sweet Brown Juicy Booty", as well as the club's overall atmosphere. Funky Butt was also the place to go if you wanted to listen to authentic New Orleans jazz and the hottest up-and-coming local musicians.
Fits like a modern unisex adult XXL or 2XL. This shirt is faded black and it has a small hole and some thinning on the back of the collar, see pics.
