This sweet vintage shirt was made for Franco's Italian Army. For those who are unfamiliar, this was the name of a Pittsburgh Steelers fan group who were all about rookie running back, Franco Harris. Harris was drafted while he was still a student at Penn State and he joined the team in 1972. By this point, the Steelers had yet to become the celebrated franchise that head coach, Chuck Noll helped shape them into. Thus two local Italian business owners decided to rally behind Harris in the hopes of invigorating the spirits of Steelers fans. The Italian Army was created by Al Vento and Tony Stagno, who were excited to hear that Franco himself was half Italian. The group attended every game, and their encouragement inevitably worked as the Steelers made their first playoff appearance in ten seasons. They even won the Central Division playoffs thanks to the "Immaculate Reception", in which Harris scored the winning touchdown during the final seconds of the game.

Fits like a modern unisex adult small. This shirt is distressed with some repairs on the front, a spot, and a hole on the back of the right shoulder when wearing, see pics.
