This awesome vintage concert tee is for the iconic new wave band the B-52s. The group was first formed in 1976 and it consisted of Kate Pierson, Fred Schneider, Keith Strictland, Ricky Wilson, and Cindy Wilson. After Ricky Wilson's death in 1985, Strictland switched from drums to lead guitar and the band continued to play as a quartet. The band became famous for their unique sound and aesthetic, which took influences from 1960s trash culture and surf rock. Some of their most beloved hit songs include "Rock Lobster", "Planet Claire", "Private Idaho", "Roam", and "Love Shack".

This shirt is from 1998, the year in which the band released the greatest hits album Time Capsule: Songs for a Future Generation. In addition to sixteen previously released hits, the album also featured two new songs "Pluto and "Debbie", the latter of which was a tribute to Debbie Harry of Blondie. The album also included the "original unreleased mix" of their song "Summer of Love". This release and the accompanying tour was viewed as Cindy Wilson's return to the band, after a several year-long hiatus. The tour had them playing alongside co-headliners, The Pretenders and two years later the band embarked on another tour, this time alongside the Go-Gos. During this time they also recorded a new song called "The Chosen One" for the movie Pokemon: The Movie 2000.
