This amazing vintage band tee is for the legendary horror punk band the Misfits. The shirt is for their compilation album Legacy of Brutality and the it features an image of the band's mascot the Crimson Ghost. The album was released in 1985, despite the fact that the group had disbanded in 1983. That's because Legacy of Brutality was composed of overdubbed mixes of previously unreleased songs, most of them from the album Static Age, which was technically the band's debut album. Static Age was recorded back in 1978 but it wasn't released in its entirety until 1996. This meant that Legacy of Brutality was the first time any of Static Age's songs were released to the public. It was also the only album to feature the songs "American Nightmare" and "Who Killed Marilyn" although they would be included on the 1996 Misfits Box Set.

All of the songs off of Legacy of Brutality were written by lead singer Glenn Danzig, and he also mixed and produced the album. Songs included "Hybrid Moments", "Theme for a Jackel", "Some Kinda Hate", "Where Eagles Dare", and "Halloween". After the Misfits, Danzig went on to form other bands, Samhain and Danzig. Meanwhile bassist Jerry Only and guitarist Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein acquired the legal rights to continue performing as the Misfits and they created a new version of the band in 1995 with Michael Graves providing lead vocals in place of Danzig.
