This classic, Adidas tee features double sided graphics of the brand's iconic trefoil logo. Adidas is the second largest sportswear brand in the world, after Nike. Adidas founder, Adolf "Adi" Dassler, started making sports shoes with his brother, Rudolph, in the 1920s. Dassler convinced Jesse Owens to wear his shoes while running in the 1936 Olympics and from there his brand took off. The brothers eventually split and Rudolph left to found his own shoe brand called Ruda, later renamed Puma, and Adolf settled on the name Adidas for his brand.

The iconic trefoil logo was introduced in 1971. The prior logo had included an image of a sneaker but the company wanted to diversify their image as they started to integrate their products into the pop culture scene. Adidas products were worn by The Doors, The Sex Pistols, David Bowie, and many more musicians. When redesigning the logo, Adidas wanted to keep the three stripes for which they were now known. Dassler had purchased the rights to those stripes from Finnish sports brand Karhu for 1,600 euros and two bottles of whiskey after WWII. The three leaves on the trefoil represented the three continents where Adidas products were sold: North America, Asia, and Europe.
