This sweet sleeveless sweatshirt was made by Puma, and it features an amazing and vibrant graphic of the animal that the company is named after. Puma is a German sportswear manufacturer that was founded by Rudolf Dassler, one of the co-founders of Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory, which was the predecessor to Adidas. While Adi Dassler went on to create the three stripes company, Rudolf created his own brand, Puma.

Similar to Adidas, Puma gained notable popularity in the 80s and 90s with the help of hip hop culture. This shirt was made in the 90s, when the Puma Suede had been solidified as a favorite among b-boys and breakers. However, the Puma Suede had been iconic since its debut in 1968, as that same year it was worn by Olympian Tommie Smith. While on the podium, Smith famously removed his shoes and raised his fist alongside John Carlos, as a show of protest against racial injustice in the US.
