This cool vintage shirt was made it the 70s and it promotes a group called the 15th Street Bodysurfing Association. While there's not a lot of information surrounding an organization with that name, the shirt does suggest that they were based out of Manhattan Beach, which has long been a hub for the bodysurfing community. Manhattan Beach is the home of the oldest bodysurfing club in the country, the Gillis Beach Bodysurfing Association, and they've been helping to host the Manhattan Beach Bodysurfing Contest for many years. The event is held as a part of the larger International Surf Festival which also involves the South Bay cities of Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, and Torrance.
