This awesome double-sided t-shirt features a portrait of Jim Morrison, the iconic lead singer of the rock band The Doors. The back of the tee includes the title of their song "Riders on the Storm", written in a graphic that resembles the famous Harley-Davidson Motorcycles logo. The Doors were one of the most successful bands of the 1960s, and although they were only active for eight short years, during that time they became the first ever American band to produce eight consecutive gold records.
The Doors' musical legacy has endured long after the band's dissolution. This shirt is copyright 1991, which was the same year that a biographical film, starring Val Kilmer as the late Jim Morrison, was released. The popularity of the movie and its soundtrack caused The Best of the Doors compilation album to re-enter the US charts.
Just a year before the film was released, drummer John Densmore published a book recounting his time with the band, which he titled Riders on the Storm. The song's legacy was then further solidified in 2010, when it was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
Fits like a modern unisex adult large. There is a small repair along the bottom right side while wearing, see pics.
