This rad concert tee is for the band Journey and their 1982 World Tour. This tour helped to promote the album Escape, which they had released the previous year. Both the cover art for the album, and the graphics on this tee were designed by famous rock and roll illustrator Stanley Mouse. In addition to his work with the band Journey, Stanley Mouse is arguably best remembered for this designs for the Grateful Dead, included Bertha the skeleton, which he created with Alton Kelley.

Escape was Journey's seventh studio album, and it included their most famous hit song, "Don't Stop Believin'" as well as several other memorable singles like "Who's Crying Now" and "Open Arms". This period of time was the height of the band's commercial success, and after the tour wrapped they began recording their eighth studio album, Frontiers which wound up being their second best-selling album after Escape.
