Bruce Hornsby & The Range performed together from 1984 to 1991. Beginning in 1988, Hornsby also began performing with the Grateful Dead, accompanying them on the accordion and synthesizer. The Grateful Dead had a huge impact on Hornsby's musical style and on his fanbase.
