This awesome double-sided tee is for the band R.E.M. and it celebrates the group's 1995 tour promoting their album Monster. Released the previous year, Monster was the group's ninth studio album and it featured a stylistic shift away from their past releases. The album was preceded by the single "What's the Frequency, Kenneth?" which helped the record to debut at the top of the Billboard charts. Other singles of the record included "Bang and Blame", "Crush with Eyeliner", "Strange Currencies", and "Tongue". A critical and commercial success, Monster was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 37th Grammy Awards, although it lost to the Rolling Stones' comeback album, Voodoo Lounge.
Fans were ecstatic when the Monster Tour was announced, as it had been six years since the band last embarked on the road. Despite their popularity in the early 90s, R.E.M. chose to take a short break from touring after the exhausting adventure that was the Green Tour. While on tour, the group stopped in Australia, Japan, and Europe in addition to the US. They also brought along Sonic Youth and Radiohead as their supporting acts.
