This sweet raglan concert tee is for Elton John and the shirt from his 1982 North American tour promoting his album Jump Up! The album featured the song "Empty Garden (Hey Hey Johnny)", which was a tribute to John Lennon, and "Legal Boys" which was co-written by Tim Rice. Rice and John would later collaborate together to write lyrics for The Lion King and The Road to El Dorado. The biggest hit off the record was "Blue Eyes" which made it to the top of the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. This was the last album to feature James Newton Howard on keyboards.

John's next album was Too Low for Zero in 1983, which included the songs "I'm Still Standing" and "That's Why They Call It The Blues". The latter featured Stevie Wonder on harmonica. John then came under controversy for breaking the United Nations cultural boycott on apartheid-era South Africa, by performing at Sun City. The following year John married his sound engineer Renate Blauel and the two would remain together for three years.
