This awesome raglan rock tee is for the British supergroup Rainbow. This shirt features double-sided graphics and promotes the band's 1983 Bent Out of Shape Tour which promoted the album of the same time. This album was released after Ronnie James Dio returned to Black Sabbath, and at this point in time Rainbow consisted of Ritchie Blackmore, Roger Glover, Joe Lynn Turner, David Rosenthal, and Chuck Burgi.
Bent Out of Shape was the final album released by Rainbow before they took a twelve year hiatus from recording. The album art, which is printed on the front of this shirt was designed by the famous London based design group Hipgnosis and the cover was some of the last artwork to be created by the group before they disbanded in 1983. Some songs off Bent Out of Shape included "Street of Dreams", "Desperate Heart", and "Can't Let You Go", whose accompanying music video was inspired by the iconic German silent horror film The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.
Rainbow disbanded not long after the Bent Out of Shape Tour, but another album for the group was released in 1986. The album, titled Finyl Vinyl, was a collection of live recordings and B-sides from the band. Part of the reason the group dissolved was that Ritchie Blackmore had been recruited to return to his previous band Deep Purple, who regrouped using the Mark II lineup to release the album Perfect Strangers in 1984.
