This sweet three quarter sleeve tee is for the band Cheap Trick and it features the cover graphic from their sixth studio album, One on One. The graphic features portraits of each member of the band: Robin Zander, Rick Nielsen, Bun E. Carlos, and their new bassist Jon Brant, who worked with the group in Tom Petersson's absence from 1981 to 1987. While this was Brant's first album with the band, much of it was recorded prior to him joining, with Nieslen filling in on the bass instead. This might be why Brant's face is partially obscured on the cover.
Although the band found limited success during Petersson's absence, One on One did spawn two minor hit songs, "If You Want My Love" and "She's Tight". After Petersson returned in 1987, the group scored their first ever number one hit with "The Flame". The song was the lead single off their platinum selling album, Lap of Luxury. During this time Epic Records insisted the band collaborate with professional songwriters, which was frustrating for the group, but ultimately a good lesson that resulted in a commercially successful record.
