This awesome vintage rock tee is for the heavy metal band Def Leppard and it celebrates their 1987 album Hysteria. Released by Mercury Records, this was the group's fourth studio album and it managed to top both the US and UK Albums charts. The title and the concept for the album was inspired by drummer Rick Allen's life altering car accident and the ensuing recovery.
In 1984, Rick Allen's had to have his left arm amputated after his corvette flipped off of a country road. The rest of the band supported Allen's decision to continue pursuing the drums despite his disability, and Allen worked hard to master a customized drum kit that featured a set of electric pedals. Allen made his official comeback when he performed at the 1986 Monsters of Rock festival to an emotionally charged audience.
Hysteria featured several singles including "Animal", "Women", "Love Bites", and "Armageddon II", but it was the album's fourth single that helped to propel it to the top of the Billboard chart. "Pour Some Sugar On Me", which was released in the summer of 1988, wound up becoming the band's signature song.
