The group also served as the house band for Fox's late night talk show The Late Show. The group is named for founding member and drummer Claude Pepper, who is known by his nicknamed Jack Mack. The band was first formed in the 80s and they gained a steady following playing weekly on Sunset Blvd. at the Central before they were eventually signed by Full Moon/Warner Bros Records.
