This sweet double-sided shirt is from the Rolling Stones' 1981 American Tour, which was the largest grossing tour of the year with $50 million in ticket sales. This shirt comes from the New Orleans tour date which featured George Thorogood And The Destroyers and The Neville Brothers as the openers. The New Orleans concert set an indoor concert attendance record that stood for 33 years. The back of the shirt features an image of The President steamboat that resided in New Orleans at the time, along with the words "Wish You Were Here".
The concert tour featured an elaborate set designed by Japanese artist Kazuhide Yamazaki and most shows during the later part of the tour featured a cherry picker and the release of hundreds of balloons during the show's end. The tour's performance in Virginia at the Hampton Coliseum was broadcast via pay-per-view as "The World's Greatest Rock'n'Roll Party". This was the first time that pay-per-view was used to broadcast a musical event such as that. During that performance a fan ran on stage and Keith Richards hit them with his guitar.
Fits like a modern unisex adult small.
