This awesome vintage punk tee is for the iconic band The Clash which was first formed in London back in 1976. The shirt is from the 80s and it commemorates the band's self financed Out of Control Tour which took place in 1984. Shortly after the tour the band released their sixth and final studio album titled Cut the Crap.

The 80s saw a lot of turmoil for the band. Drummer, Topper Headon was dismissed from the group due to his heroin addiction, which was causing erratic behavior. In his absence tensions between the remaining members began to rise. Headon was replaced by Terry Chimes although he later left the group after playing with them on the Combat Rock Tour, and he was replaced with Pete Howard. Meanwhile lead guitarist and co-principle songwriter Mick Jones was dismissed by lead singer Joe Strummer and bassist Paul Simonon. His last appearance with the group was at the US Festival in San Bernardino, California and after that he was replaced by Nick Sheppard and Vince White. The band eventually disbanded completely in 1986, although the members collaborated and reunited several times before Strummer's death in 2002.

The Clash were considered key players in the original wave of British punk rock and they also helped to contribute to the subsequent waves of post-punk and new wave music which later emerged. The Clash achieved both critical and commercial success with their self-titled debut album in 1977, but it wasn't until their third album, London Calling, that they earned international attention. They were eventually inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, and they are best remembered for songs like "Should I Stay or Should I Go", their cover of "I Fought the Law", and their top ten hit "Rock the Casbah".
