This awesome vintage band tee is for the heavy metal group Pantera and the shirt commemorates the band's fifth studio album titled Cowboys from Hell, which was released by Atco Records in 1990. This was Pantera's first album released on a major label, and it helped the band to pioneer the sound of groove metal. Cowboys from Hell also became the group's breakthrough album, peaking at the No. 27 spot on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart. The album was supported by a tour alongside thrash metal acts Exodus and Suicidal Tendencies, and shortly after the band was given the opportunity to open for Judas Priest for their first show in Europe.
Pantera was first formed in Arlington, Texas back in 1981 and since then they have come to be one of the most influential heavy metal bands in history, with over 20 million records sold. Both Pantera and its fans considered Cowboys from Hell to be the band's true debut, as prior to that the group had been copying other bands' glam metal style in the hopes of drawing more attention to themselves. One standout track from the album was "Cemetrary Gates", a seven minute long brooding power ballad, that showed off their new heavier style. Shortly after the album's release Pantera was invited to play a the "Monsters in Moscow" show alongside groups like AC/DC and Metallica .
