This sweet vintage concert tee is for the hard rock band Van Halen from their 1991 tour, promoting the album For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge. The name for the album was inspired by public outcry that the band's lyrics were too vulgar. Lead Singer, Sammy Hagar, had originally wanted to title the album F#%$, in order to really stick it to critics. He was instead inspired by his friend and former lightweight boxing champion, Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini, to change it to the acronym "for unlawful carnal knowledge".
The album was released by Warner Brothers and it premiered at number 1 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart. It featured members Michael Anthony, Sammy Hagar, Eddie Van Halen, and Alex Van Halen, and included the singles "Poundcake", "Top of the World" and "Right Now". The song "Poundcake" incorporated the sounds of a battery operated power drill which had to be held up to the pickups of the guitar and revved in order to create the intro.
Fits like a modern unisex adult large. There are spots on the front and a repair on the side, see pics.
