This amazing piece of vintage westernwear was made all the way back in the 40s. This shirt comes in a rich shade of navy blue and features wonderful details like scallop flapped pockets, scalloped yokes on the front and back, six snap closures along the cuffs, and knife pleats on the back.

Cowboy style shirts like this were quite popular back in the 40s, as Western films became all the rage. Americans were looking for an escape from the drab reality of a decade plagued with unemployment and economic problems. Western cinema granted that escape, and people became eager to emulate their favorite fictional heroes. Back in the 40s, a shirt like this could have easily been seen in films like Red River, Fort Apache, or My Darling Clementine.
